Privacy Policy

Last updated 6 July 2026

LezPlanIt helps you turn a sentence into a travel plan. This policy explains what information LezPlanIt collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain because you deserve to actually understand it.

Who we are

LezPlanIt ("we", "us") provides the LezPlanIt mobile app and related services. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email [email protected].

What we collect

  • Your account. When you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive your verified email address and your name. From Google we also receive a link to your profile photo, which we use as your avatar. Apple and Facebook do not share a photo.
  • Your travel preferences. Your origin city, passport country, home currency, and your choice of metric or imperial units.
  • Your trips. The trips you create and everything you add to them — destinations, days, places, notes, reservations, and expenses you log.
  • Booking emails you forward to us. If you use your personal LezPlanIt forwarding address, we receive the confirmation emails you (or someone you forward from) send to it. See "Bookings by email" below.
  • Your purchase status. If you buy a Trip Pass or Passport, the app stores (Apple App Store / Google Play) and our payments partner RevenueCat tell us whether your purchase or subscription is active. We never see or store your card details.
  • Limited technical data. When you sign in we briefly use your IP address to guess a sensible default origin city and currency. We do not build advertising profiles.

How we use your information

  • To run the service — build and store your trips and show them across your devices.
  • To generate and edit your plans when you ask Lez (see "How your plans are made" below).
  • To set sensible defaults, like your home currency and origin city.
  • To manage your Trip Pass and Passport purchases and unlock paid features.
  • To respond when you contact support.

We do not sell your personal information.

How your plans are made

When you ask Lez to plan or change a trip, we send your request and the relevant trip details to Google's Gemini service, which generates the response. So that replies feel personal and sensible, this can include your first name and travel preferences such as your origin city and home currency. It never includes your email address, your sign-in identity, or trips you didn't ask about. Google processes these requests on our behalf and does not use them to advertise to you.

How Lez learns

Lez gets better by noticing what you keep, change and remove in your own plans, and by asking you now and then whether a plan felt right. That learning is yours: it shapes your next trip and you can see and correct what Lez believes about you in your Profile. Separately, we combine what many travellers kept or skipped at a place into anonymous counts (for example, how often a stop is dropped by travellers on a relaxed pace). Those counts never include your name, your messages, your notes or anything that identifies you, and we only use a count once at least twenty different travellers contribute to it. The "Help Lez learn for everyone" switch in your Profile removes you from those counts at the next rebuild; your own learning is unaffected. Deleting your account deletes the underlying records.

Bookings by email

You can forward flight, hotel and other booking confirmations to a private address shown in Profile → Bookings by email, or paste one into a chat with Lez, and Lez will offer to add the bookings to your trip. Nothing is added until you choose Apply. Here is what happens to the email:

  • We keep the subject, the sender's address, and the email's text (up to 30,000 characters). Before storing it we remove anything that looks like a card or passport number, and we drop attachments and images.
  • The text is sent to Google Gemini to read the booking details (dates, times, places, reference, price and passenger names as printed).
  • The stored text is deleted after 30 days; only the resulting bookings you applied stay in your trip. Discarding a card deletes its text straight away.
  • We send one reply email per forward to the address it came from, saying what we did with it.
  • Your forwarding address contains a secret code. Anyone who knows it can send bookings to your account, so treat it like a password; you can generate a new one at any time from Profile. Emails to unknown addresses are dropped without reply.

Only forward emails you want in a trip. Please do not forward emails containing other people's personal details you do not need there.

Sign-in providers

We use Google, Apple, and Facebook sign-in so you don't need a separate password. We receive only your verified email and name (and, from Google, a profile photo link). We never receive your social account password.

Third parties we share with

  • Google Gemini — to generate your plans when you ask Lez, as described above.
  • Google Maps Platform / Places — to find places, distances, and travel times for your trips.
  • Flight data providers (AeroDataBox) — to look up flight times when you ask about flights. We send the route and dates, not who you are.
  • RevenueCat and the app stores — to process and verify purchases and subscriptions.
  • Our hosting and email providers (including Resend) — to operate the service, send you messages you request, such as a copy of your data, and receive the booking confirmations you forward to us.

These providers act on our behalf and are bound to protect your data.

Keeping and deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. When you do, your account and trips are permanently removed within 30 days. You can also ask us to delete your data by emailing support. Forwarded booking emails are deleted after 30 days regardless (see "Bookings by email").

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can request a copy of your data in-app from Profile → Download my data, or email us. We honour verified requests.

Children

LezPlanIt is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
